I’ve been redesigning the Dack family brand (as in a cattle brand - like a family crest) for the last couple of days, and ran a search on Google to see if the brand was anywhere online.  What I found was Dack’s Shoes For Men.  They’re based in Ontario, and I remember my grandma saying that she thought we had some distant relations up that way.

I really want a pair of their shoes.  I mean, c’mon, they’re Dack’s shoes!  I’m entitled to them.

When I’m around elderly people, I’m always worried that my cell phone is going to ring and get them all worked up and confused.  Usually I put it on vibrate or silent, just for that reason.  I can just imagine my phone ringing as they pause to listen more carefully, then lift their head a bit and look around to see what’s making all the noise.  “What is that?!?” they mumble.  “Oh, it’s my cell phone… sorry.”  “Oh…” and I imagine them thinking something about insensitive youths these days.

I’m not saying anything against older people, but for whatever reason I’m always worried about my phone going off and confusing the heck out of them.
